Differential pressure

Piezoresistive Sensors for Differential Pressure Measurement

These differential pressure sensors are designed for use with air and other non-corrosive, non-ionic gases. They function by measuring the pressure in two distinct environments using a pair of silicone tubes, and then directly providing the difference between these two readings.

These sensors can be effectively employed alongside Pitot tubes to determine air velocity. Notably, LSI LASTEM sensors possess the capability to directly compute air velocity from the differential pressure data.

Description

Highlights

  • Piezometric differential pressure sensors are featured;

  • Measures pressure in two separate environments utilizing the provided silicon tubes. The sensor then directly outputs the difference between these two readings;

  • A common application sector for differential pressure sensors is HVAC, including filter verification in piping, air flow measurement in ventilation systems, and testing of over-pressure environments;

  • Well-suited for determining air speed when connected to Pitot tubes. When integrated with LSI LASTEM’s data loggers, air speed values are directly computed in m/s. Air flow and air changes are also provided;

  • In-house ISO17025 accredited laboratory for air velocity with Pitot tubes;

  • Model codes: DQE524, ESP024.
