Black Globe Temperature Sensor

This radiant temperature sensor (with Pt100 output) provides a crucial variable for microclimatic index computations. The temperature registered by the black globe environmental sensor signifies the combined effects of thermal radiation (radiant heat), ambient air temperature, and air velocity on human thermal comfort.

Description

This sensor is specifically engineered to measure radiant temperature in accordance with ISO7726 standards, crafted from opaque black copper (exhibiting less than 2% reflection as per ASTM 97-55). When paired with our data logger and a wet bulb temperature sensor, it facilitates the computation of the WBGT thermal stress index.

  • Features a high absorption paint applied to the copper globe ();
  • Benefits from an in-house ISO17025 accredited calibration laboratory;
  • Delivers accurate temperature measurements ();
  • Designed and dimensioned in full compliance with the ISO7726 standard;
  • Model codes: EST131, PRTEA4922.
