Description
Hot wire anemometer
The ESV308 model also determines turbulence intensity (TU), adhering to ISO7726. It accomplishes this by sampling air speed measurements every 100 ms, a rate that enables the calculation of Average air speed (Va), standard deviation, and Turbulence index over a 1-second interval. The displayed reading is then updated every second, representing a running average from the preceding 5 seconds. These sensors are suitable for use in indoor settings, ducts, and ventilation outlets. They can be either hand-held or mounted on a tripod for extended measurements. When the directional support is detached, this sensor exhibits strong responsiveness to planar omnidirectional airflow, accepting air currents from any direction within a 300° range onto the hot wire.

Highlights
- Interchangeable head for straightforward repair of damaged wires;
- Extremely low measurement threshold: 0.01 m/s;
- Due to its omnidirectional sensitivity, this sensor is highly effective in applications where airflow lacks a consistent direction, such as in heat stress and thermal comfort assessments;
- By utilizing air speed values, LSI LASTEM’s M/R-Log data loggers can directly compute airflow (both mass and volume) and the number of air changes;
- Given its rapid response time, this sensor is particularly well-suited for Turbulence Intensity (TU) measurements; LSI LASTEM M/R-Log data loggers can directly calculate TU and the percentage of people dissatisfied by air draft, as outlined in the ISO7730 standard;
- Internal ISO17025 accredited calibration laboratory;
- Model codes: EXP126, ESV108.1, ESV108, ESV308.
